Charges filed Wednesday in Olmsted County Court say the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office served the search warrants for two vehicles and two storage units this past June. Deputies executed one of the vehicle searches after spotting the defendant driving one of the vehicles named in the search warrant.

Deputies stopped the vehicle, driven by 43-year-old Jose David Talamantes, in the area of 9th St. and 1st. Ave Northeast. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies found a fanny pack containing 396.5 grams of a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint says.

The charges say the amount of suspected meth in the vehicle and manner it was packaged in along with the discovery of the cash and cell phones indicated drug sale activity.
