
Southern Minnesota Drug Bust Finds 1.3 Pounds of Fentanyl
Eagan, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in southern Minnesota are reporting the seizure of a large amount of fentanyl.
A news release issued jointly by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, and the Northfield Police Department says the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force, working with the Dakota County Drug Task Force, found the drugs while executing a search warrant in Eagan as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Major Fentanyl Seizure
According to the statement, law enforcement officers seized approximately 1.3 pounds of fentanyl. The drug raid also resulted in the seizure of smaller amounts of cocaine, suspected THC concentrate, and cash that investigators believe is connected to drug sales.
Suspect in Custody
The Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force led the investigation, which determined that some of the drugs were being distributed in Rice County.
The news release says a 24-year-old Eagan man was taken into custody and is being held at the Dakota County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
