Missing Minnesota Woman Found Safe (Update)
Update: The missing person alert has been canceled for Vanita Abbott. Authorities say she has been found safe.
Moorhead, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide missing person's alert has been issued for a northern Minnesota woman.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension today issued the alert at the request of the Moorhead Police Department. Officials are looking for information about the whereabouts of 35-year-old Vanita Abbott. She was last seen leaving the area of the 3000 block of 41st Avenue in Morehead.
At the time she was wearing a tan T-shirt, pink leggings, tan sneakers. She is described as white, 5-9, 130 pounds, with red hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information about Abbott is asked to contact the Moorhead Police Department.
