Trashcan Fire Spread to Residence at Rochester Mobile Home Park
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - What apparently started as a trash can fire resulted in significant damage to a residence at a southeast Rochester mobile home park on Saturday.
The Rochester Fire Department says crews responded around 10:15 AM to reports of a fire at the Southgate Circle mobile home park, which is located off Highway 14 East near the Air Insanity indoor trampoline Park. When the firefighters arrived at the scene they found a trashcan and lean-to structure engulfed in flames.
A news release says the flames had also spread to a nearby mobile home. The firefighters immediately went to work extinguishing the flames and searching the residence. No one was found inside and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
An estimate of the extent of the damage is not yet available and the exact cause of the fire has not been determined.
