
Baby & Toddler Rushed to Hospital Following Crash on Slick Minnesota Interstate
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash on a slick interstate in southeastern Minnesota sent a baby and toddler to the hospital on Saturday.

One vehicle was involved in the Freeborn County Crash.
The State Patrol responded to the crash scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. Three people were inside of the vehicle, which struck a tree.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 90 about five miles west of Austin. A westbound SUV left the slippery roadway and smashed into a tree once it was off the road, according to the state crash report.
20-year-old Andreah Brenae Jimenez of La Crosse, WI was identified as the driver. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in nearby Austin for further care, authorities say.
The State Patrol says Kahliana Iang Jimenez Thang, who is less than a year old, and two-year-old Josua Vandawt Thang were also transported to the hospital in Austin. The baby girl and toddler boy, who are also from La Crosse, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Jimenez and the young children were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash. There was snow and ice on I-90 at the time of the accident, the state crash report says.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Hayward Fire Department also responded to the crash.
