The 4000 Foundation, LTD, has proudly announced the 32nd Annual Great Tri-State Rail Sale, a highlight in the Tri-State area rail enthusiasts' calendar, set to take place on Saturday, January 27th, from 9am to 3pm at the La Crosse Center in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin. Established in 1992, this event has grown into the region's largest one-day Railroad Hobby Sale, Model Railroad Flea Market & Swap Meet.

This annual extravaganza not only celebrates the rich railroad heritage of the area but serves as a crucial fundraiser, as all proceeds from the Rail Sale contribute to maintaining and restoring the La Crosse Short Line Railroad Heritage Museum in Copeland Park. The museum, brought to life by the 4000 Foundation in 1989, stands as a testament to the dedication of citizens and area railroad enthusiasts.

With 300 vendor tables featuring a diverse array of railroad-related merchandise, attendees can immerse themselves in the world of model, toy, and antique trains, books, magazines, memorabilia, art, hobby supplies, and much more. Admission is a nominal $5.00, and children under 12 can enter for free when accompanied by an adult.

In addition to the Rail Sale, the 4000 Foundation hosts the Rail Fair annually in July at Copeland Park, a vibrant event that brings the La Crosse Short Line to life. Visitors can enjoy tours, Morse code train orders, and a railroad show and sale. All these efforts contribute to the preservation of the La Crosse Short Line Railroad Heritage Museum, making it a must-attend for both railroad enthusiasts and the community at large.
