List of Businesses in Rochester, Minnesota that closed in 2022

2022 was a weird year.  We were starting to feel confident that we got over the whole pandemic thing and then BAM!, people who never got COVID were getting it, including me.  I don't recommend, btw!  "Now Hiring" signs were posted at almost every single business, the price of eggs started to creep toward $5 a dozen, and many businesses closed their doors for the final time.

2022 was another year of hardship and change for many, including the closures of beloved, popular businesses in our Rochester community.  Below are several in the Rochester area and a few in the surrounding towns.

Saying goodbye is never easy, and in Minnesota, it takes us a few hours to actually get out the door when we are visiting friends. Sadly, a few businesses in Rochester, Minnesota had their own goodbye in 2022 - some in more of a Minnesota style with a note and a few weeks or days to have closure, while others just seemed to disappear in the night forever.

2021 was another year that was full of challenges for businesses throughout the country, including Rochester, Minnesota. Unfortunately, our community saw many businesses that said "good-bye" and closed for good.

When we all started our brand new 2020 year, the months ahead looked bright and promising. Unfortunately, 2020 was the year COVID-19 struck and has been a year of hardship and change for many, including the closures of beloved businesses in our Rochester community.
At times we would hear from business owners in a Facebook message that the sad decision was made to close their doors and other times, we found out that one of our favorite places was now closed by a note on the front door. No matter how the news came, my heart broke a little bit more for our community. Sadly, the list continues to grow but you can see the current list below.
