I don’t often buy scratch-off tickets, and when I do, I usually don’t win. However, I love hearing about people who hit the jackpot and what they plan to do with their newfound wealth.

If you won a huge lottery prize, what would you do? I think a lot of people would probably start by paying off debt or their mortgage and spend what's left on fun things like vacations or home improvements. Recently, a woman in Iowa had a life-changing experience with a scratch-off ticket and knew right away how she wanted to use her winnings.

Lisa Johns, a 66-year-old grandmother and retired postmaster from Creston, Iowa, stopped by her local Casey’s General Store and decided to buy a scratch-off ticket.

That day, luck was on her side. When she scratched the ticket, she discovered she had won an impressive $50,000!

Excited, Lisa went to collect her prize at the Iowa State Lotto headquarters. When asked about her plans for the money, she immediately shared a very touching answer.

Lisa intends to buy a “Harley Trike” to honor her late husband, Sterling. They were passionate motorcycle riders, and after he passed away two years ago, she gave his motorcycle to their son.

Now, Lisa is eager to ride again with her friends. “I can’t wait,” she said, expressing her joy at the prospect of reconnecting with her love for biking. I'm sure that her husband would be smiling down on her as she embarks on this new adventure!
