Shoppers Are Spotting a New Flavor at Kwik Trip—Have You Seen It?

Last month, Kwik Trip added toasted four cheese ravioli to its Hot Spot rotation, and last week, the Wisconsin-based chain added a popular Chinese dish to its lineup of take-home meals. 

Kwik Trip currently operates about 900 stores across the Upper Midwest in states like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois, and Michigan. The chain is recognized as the best gas station in America because of its dedication to customer service and high-quality food. And, they're always adding new products.

Why Kwik Trip Isn’t Your Average Gas Station

Kwik Trip is based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and that’s where a lot of the products you see in their stores are actually made.

Their campus includes one of the largest bakeries in the world, capable of producing 225 loaves of bread every minute. They make 10 different types of bread, muffins, donuts, cookies, and cinnamon rolls with fresh shipments delivered to stores daily.

There’s also a massive kitchen on-site where they prepare everything from take-home meals to sandwiches and pizzas.

A large section of the campus is dedicated to dairy production. Every day, they bottle more than 80,000 gallons of milk and make their popular Nature’s Touch ice cream right there on-site.

The Unexpected Star of Kwik Trip’s Sales

Bananas are a big part of Kwik Trip's business. They sell over 35 million pounds each year! Their ripening rooms in La Crosse can each hold more than 41,000 pounds of bananas.

Kwik Trip also sells banana-print boxers and introduced a banana-flavored donut. Now, they’ve added banana milk to the mix.

Flavored milk is nothing new for them. Chocolate and strawberry are popular but they've also offered more creative options like root beer, pumpkin spice, and orange dreamsicle.
