Minnesotans React to US Bank Stadium’s ‘Major’ Concert Announcement
The internet was buzzing yesterday and this morning. US Bank Stadium had announced they were going to make a 'major' concert announcement today (Friday, January 6th) and people were so curious about who it could be. I mean, Taylor Swift is a huge act and she didn't even get this kind of hype. Well, the announcement came and while many people are excited, to others it was a let-down.

They held a press conference at US Bank Stadium this morning about the big show. KARE 11 had a live Facebook video for the press conference. In the press conference, it was said that this show is going to be "one of the biggest nights in live entertainment in the Twin Cities."
Turns out its not just one artist, but two. Ok, that's big news! The two artists performing together at US Bank Stadium are ... *drumroll* ... Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks!
Two HUGE names in music but... was it worth the hype? That's the big question.

The two will be performing together on November 10th of this year. Tickets, if you're interested, go on sale Friday, January 13th at 10 AM on Live Nation's website.
Obviously, plenty of people will be excited to hear that these two will be performing together in Minnesota. They're big names, but lots of people thought it wasn't worth the tease and a press conference.

The announcement was being broadcast live on KARE 11's Facebook page when I was in a meeting with some co-workers, so we turned it on. When they made the announcement we all looked at each other and someone said something along the lines of "That's it?". I don't want it to sound like I'm bashing Billy Joel or Stevie Nicks, they're respected artists who are great at what they do. It was just so confusing that they would get hype like this and an artist like Taylor Swift didn't.
Many people online felt the same. Here are some of the comments I saw under KARE 11's video:
What did you think? Even if you're a fan of these two, did you think it was worth all the hype leading up to the announcement?
