This morning, I got an email from Stephanie Rudeen, VP of Resource Development at United Way of Southeast Minnesota, about a fundraiser they have going on. It was super exciting news: they're so close to a fundraising goal! But they need our help ASAP.

The goal is to raise money to help students at different schools around Rochester. But the catch is that they need to meet this goal by the end of today, September 30th.

Rochester Full-Service Community Schools

The money raised is for a program called Rochester Full-Service Community Schools.

Schools currently involved in the program are Franklin Elementary, Gage Elementary, Riverside Central Elementary, John Adams Middle School, the Alternative Learning Center, Mayo High School, and John Marshall High School.

The program brings "services like food pantries, hygiene products, health clinics, enrichment activities, and more to students during the school day. That way, teachers can focus on academics while community-based organizations support students' wellbeing."

It's well-known that "students who are well-fed and have the hygiene supplies they need are more likely to be able to focus during class." That's why United Way of SE MN put together this program.

Of course, they need our help to pay for all of these resources.

Donate to United Way of Southeast Minnesota

United Way of SE MN's fundraising goal for their Rochester Full-Service Community Schools is to raise $30,000 by September 30th, 2025.

Today is the final day, and as of the email update I got this morning, they're only $7,850 away from their goal! They're so close!

So if you are able to donate and have been thinking about donating to United Way, now is the time to do it.
