The threat of severe weather will march its way across southern Minnesota this afternoon and evening. Storms are expected to quickly evolve into a line that will move east across the region through this evening.

Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will be possible, along with heavy downpours.

Storms are expected to impact Albert Lea, Faribault, and Owatonna between 6 and 7 pm. Farther to the east, places like Cannon Falls, Red Wing, and Rochester will likely see storms between 7 and 10 pm.
