Jason Aldean Is in the Studio, Working on Eighth Album
Jason Aldean is hard at work on his eighth studio album. The superstar took fans into the studio recently to share the good news. Aldean is seen in the control room as his band is warming up in the studio behind him in a short video clip posted to Instagram on Monday (March 13).
"Got some pretty good stuff we're kicking off here with," he says. Aldean then moves his phone to show the men in back of him in the control room, as well as his band.
"Can't wait for you to hear it," he adds before getting back to work.
While not much is known about Aldean's forthcoming project, it will be the follow-up to 2016's They Don't Know, which has garnered two No. 1 singles with "Lights Come On" and "A Little More Summertime." Current single "Any Ol' Barstool" is poised to do the same.
This will mark Aldean's first release through BMG, who recently acquired his previous record label Broken Bow Records Music Group.
The singer is keeping busy this year with a tour and album in the works. In January, he announced his They Don’t Know Tour, which includes a stop at the Taste of Country Music Festival in June. He and his wife, Brittany, have also welcomed a new addition to their family — an adorable puppy they've named Boss.
While Aldean won't be bringing Boss to the ACM Awards next month, he will take the stage to perform and promises his pup will be watching. The star is nominated for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award at the 52nd Annual ACM Awards, which will broadcast live on April 2 on CBS.
