Minnesota Zoo ‘Kangaroo Crossing’ Replaced With ‘Llama Trek’
I was really sad to see that Kangaroo Crossing won't be open at the Minnesota Zoo anymore. It was so fun and cool to be able to walk among these amazing animals that we don't get to see in the wild. However... Kangaroo Crossing is being replaced with something pretty awesome. Llama Trek!
A spokesperson with the Minnesota Zoo told Bring Me the News that "the space known as Kangaroo Crossing is 'designed to host our rotating feature summer exhibits.'" So that area is now home to Llama Trek, which will actually open tomorrow (May 25th).
At Llama Trek you can walk among free-roaming llamas but guests are not allowed to pet the llamas and are asked to stay on the walking path. There will also be guinea pigs and rhea in the exhibit.
One of the coolest parts of the whole thing, in my opinion, is that you can pay $7 to walk a llama! Yes, please!
Llama Trek is free with a Minnesota Zoo ticket.
