Kelly Clarkson Wants to Trio With Kelsea Ballerini and Cam
The country music family is all about supporting one another, and a recent exchange between three prominent female acts will give you all the feels.
"Burning House" singer Cam took to social media on Monday (Aug. 7) to boast a love of Kelly Clarkson, which resulted in a series of supportive tweets between the two and Kelsea Ballerini.
"Just spent the morning getting lost in @kelly_clarkson videos. Jeez she is everything. Emotive, crazy range, genuine. Le sigh," Cam writes in a sweet Twitter post. Ballerini was quick to chime in with her appreciation for the American Idol winner, responding, "One of Music's greatest gifts. I agree."
When Clarkson saw the lovefest, she didn't hold back, noting her admiration for both rising country artists while making an exciting request in the process. "Ladies, what?! So nice. Big fan of both of you as well! I say this calls for a beautiful trio performance at some point," Clarkson replied with several smily face and party hat emojis.
A collaboration between the three would undoubtedly be a success, as they have many hit songs and chart-topping albums between them. This wouldn't be the first time Clarkson has collaborated with artists in the country world. She was introduced to the genre in 2010 when she and Jason Aldean took on the powerful "Don't You Wanna Stay," landing them at the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. She and mother-in-law Reba McEntire also recorded a duet rendition of Clarkson's signature hit, "Because of You," before taking on the critically acclaimed "Don't Rush" with Vince Gill.
