Lady Antebellum Get Funky With ‘You Look Good’ at 2017 ACM Awards

Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum performed their latest single, "You Look Good," at the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2).

Lady A were full of confidence, personality and energy, and they were backed by the University of Las Vegas marching band. The crowd clearly enjoyed the performance, and the huge horn section of the band amplified that electric feeling. Near the end of their performance, Lady Antebellum mashed in Bill Withers' "Use Me Up."

"You Look Good," says Haywood, is a sonic representation of "the energy we've been feeling for the past four months, four to six months.” Scott adds, “The sound even makes me feel like we felt making the record … [I]t’s uptempo. It’s groovy. It just felt so cohesive for us as a band.”

The song is the debut single from Lady A's forthcoming record, Heart Break. 

Fans won't have to wait long to hear Heart Break in its entirety: It's set for release on June 9 -- and its mix of songs is intriguing, to say the least. A press release describes the track “Somebody Else’s Heart” as “sweet [but] melancholy” and the song “Hurt” as a “dramatic, surging ballad.” “Army," meanwhile, has a “percolating groove,” and “Think About You” features “R&B-style guitar.”

Shortly after Heart Break's release, Lady Antebellum will kick off their 2017 You Look Good World Tour. The trek includes more than 40 stops throughout North America, and then the trio will head overseas to perform for their international audience.
