Lainey Wilson Shares Photo With Duluth Fan Ahead Of Minnesota Show
Here's one way to know you've officially made it in the music industry. Lainey Wilson was in Duluth on Saturday (April 2nd) and she shared a photo with a Duluthian for a very hilarious and amazing reason.
In case you missed it, the budding country star was in town over the weekend opening for LANCO and Granger Smith. They put on a fun show at AMSOIL Arena. Northlanders have been waiting for the show that was announced back in January.
The show was packed and rightfully so. The crowd was filled with big country music fans and adoring fans of Lainey Wilson, who has grown to be a fan favorite over the past year. She won two ACM Awards at the show last month: New Female Artist Of The Year and Song Of The Year for her debut hit Things A Man Oughta Know.
Based on her set kicking off the show, it is easy to see why. In her short career so far, she's also amassed some very passionate fans. This was never more evident than with a photo she shared on her personal Instagram page prior to the show.
Lainey shared a few fun videos from backstage on her Instagram story and even gave out a pair of tickets to the show to the person who DM'ed her first. A few hours before she took the stage, she shared a photo with a Northlander!
She didn't give his name or too many details but he must have been plucked from the crowd to meet her. Why? He has a tattoo of her face on his arm! You have to see the photo to really believe it.
The photo definitely looks like Lainey but it could also pass as someone else. It is part of an arm sleeve of tattoos. In the photo, she is pointing at the tattoo and smiling and he is rolling the sleeve of his shirt up.
It is a pretty big tattoo so he must be a pretty big fan! There is no name or information of this big fan but it's safe to assume he is from the Northland since he attended the show. She also gave Duluth a shout-out in the caption, saying that we were already getting wild and the show hadn't even started yet.
What a fun photo! Hopefully Lainey will come back to the Northland soon since she clearly has a ton of fans here. It was also great to have live music returning and feeling somewhat normal.
There are a bunch of other concerts to look forward to. Jake Owen will be in the Northland in a few short months headlining Bayfront Country Jam. Tyler Rich will be opening the show and it will kick off a great Fourth of July weekend.
Before that, we have Eric Church's big show at U.S. Bank Stadium with Ernest and Morgan Wallen. The show is a special one-night-only event in June and it's going to be amazing. You can keep up with this show and more with our concert calendar.
