Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers had their hands full Tuesday night dealing with a very big man who was also suffering from what’s known as excited delirium.

Police began receiving numerous 911 calls around 9:45 PM from witnesses in the downtown who saw the 6-5, 250-pound man rip off all his clothes.

He was first spotted in the alley between 3rd and 4th streets SE. When officers located him, he was screaming and running in the 4th St road construction area. The man was able to enter the Stabile building through a rear door and could be heard pounding on a wall. Officers eventually used a Taser to get him under control and he was taken to St. Marys where he later admitted he had taken methamphetamine.

A spokesman says it’s unlikely the 26-year-old Rochester man will face charges.
