Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers are coming to Cannon Falls. Rod Johnson of the Shepherd Center of the Cannon Valley said that they would be coming to the Cannon Falls Auditorium on September 24. Show starts at 2PM. Doors will open at 1PM

They have been winning over audiences for more than 60 years. They got their start when Larry Gatlin was 6 in Abilene, Texas. Steve was 4 and Rudy was 2. Now they have been everywhere, including the White House on several occasions.

The brothers went their own way a bit while they were in school. Larry had a meeting to sing back-up for Elvis. He didn't get that job but met Dottie West. Dottie later introduced him to Kris Kristofferson, who introduced him to someone at Monument Records and in 1976 they formed their group officially and kicked things off with a Grammy for "Broken Lady."

They took a bit of a break in the '90s to do some other things. They have also released some gospel albums and recently they released "The Gospel According to Gatlin."

Tickets are $50, with all proceeds going to Shepherd’s Center of the Cannon Valley. All seats are general admission.

Tickets can be purchased by going to gatlinbrothers.eventbrite.com.
