Lois Riess was in court on Wednesday in Florida for a case management hearing. A case management hearing is when a Judge wants to know if there's any problems with discovery. Discovery refers to the prosecutions case against the defendant. Case management is also when the judge asks if there has been a plea offer. Riess was a no show in court earlier this year at which time the judge directed that she needed to be at the next court date which is the one that took place on Wednesday.

Riess is accused of murdering a woman in Fort Myers Beach and stealing her identity in 2018. She is also a suspect in the death of her husband David Riess in Blooming Prairie in 2018.

Lois Riess will be back in court in June for depositions in Florida and then in July will face charges filed in Texas where she was apprehended in 2018.
