This Toyota Is the Vehicle Most Likely to Hit 250,000 Miles in MN

It used to be that you were lucky to drive a car until it reached 100,000 miles, but not anymore-- in fact, THIS vehicle is the one most likely to hit twice that here in Minnesota!

Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but we could also be the Land of Over A Million Vehicles. Because that's how many cars, trucks, and SUVs are currently licensed to drive the roads, highways,s and interstates in our fair state. Specifically, Statista says there were 1,690,015 vehicles registered in Minnesota in 2024.

And thanks to a survey by the folks over at iSeeCars.com, we now know just which make and model vehicles are the most long-lasting both here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes and across the country.

Their new survey has a lot of information and looked at a lot of data-- the study analyzed almost 400 million cars-- to determine which cars were most likely to continue operating for at least 250,000 miles. The results show that 11 SUVs, 7 sedans, 6 pickup trucks, and one minivan make up the top 25 models.

Minnesota Ranks Among the Top States for Long-Lasting Vehicles

Living here in Minnesota apparently gives us an advantage, too, because the study says we're ranked 6th in the nation for having cars more likely to reach 250,000 miles. Hitting that milestone is a pretty rare occurrence. In fact, the study says that less than 1 percent (it's actually .8% if you're getting all technical) of all vehicles last that long.

Which Vehicle Is Most Likely to Reach 250,000 Miles?

But not this car. Well, actually, it's an SUV. Just which vehicle is the longest-lasting? That honor goes to the Toyota Sequoia, which has a 39.1 percent chance of reaching a quarter of a million miles. (You can check out what the 2026 Sequoia looks like in the video below.)

These Are the Vehicles Most Likely to Last 250,000 Miles

Behind the Sequoia, fellow Toyota models including the 4Runner, Highlander Hybrid, and Tundra, along with the Lexus IS, round out the list of the top five vehicles most likely to hit 250,000 miles here in the Bold North and across the U.S.
