Looks Like Crooked Pint Ale House is Planning to Reopen in Rochester
2020 was a year of a lot of closings, including Crooked Pint Ale House in Rochester, Minnesota
ICYMI - back in January I got a message from a listener who asked if I could try to find out if their favorite restaurant "Crooked Pint" was going to reopen their West Circle Drive location. I knew they closed due to COVID back in November but when restaurants were allowed to reopen, their doors stayed closed.
Fast forward a few months - their website still lists the Rochester location on West Circle Drive but Google indicates that it is permanently closed. The building also was put on the market. You can read all those details from the story published in February 2021 here.
I did reach out to the company to see when they might be reopening and also to Goonie's to see what their plans were but never heard a response from either place.
A permit has been filed to start remodeling for Crooked Pint Ale House
Last week, I reached out to the company again to get an update on the new permit that has been filed with the City of Rochester but I haven't received an answer yet. But, according to the permit filed on June 9th, 2021, a "remodel of existing restaurant space to a new full-service restaurant" was indicated with "Crooked Pint Ale House" listed after. The remodel would occur at 1625 Broadway Ave. South, which is home to the Ramada by Wyndham. It is also the spot where Cowboy Jacks used to be before their sudden closure.

Let me know if how excited you are about the news. Send me a note over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio - or on Instagram. My 2 cents...personally, I used to like this place but the fact that they are now 2 for 2 at responding to my simple questions, they are falling down on my "like" list.
