Minnesota has once again topped a national list when it comes to our great quality of life, this time being named the best state in which to raise a family.

It's no real surprise that a high quality of life is one of the things that makes Minnesota a great place in which to live, right? We've got great schools, access to world-class healthcare plus other great factors all of which add up to keep us near the top of most national surveys and lists.

And, once again, we're number-one here in the Land of 10,00 Lakes-- this time on the list of Best States To Raise A Family from the gang over at WalletHub. Their yearly survey compared the 50 states across 50 key indicators of family-friendliness. They included rankings from median family salary to housing affordability to unemployment rate.

When you put them all together and do the math, voila, Minnesota comes in on top in this year's survey. Individually, WalletHub says the North Star State was number-one categories like Unemployment Date and Median Family Salary (Adjusted for Cost of Living), as well as ranking second in Percentage of Families in Poverty.

Following Minnesota and rounding out the Top 5 Best States To Raise A Family are Massachusetts, North Dakota, Vermont and New Hampshire. Meanwhile, my home state of Wisconsin is farther down the list, coming in at #13, one behind our neighbors to the south in Iowa, who ranked 12th on the WalletHub list this year.
