You don’t have to leave Minnesota for a dining experience that’s as stunning as the food is delicious. One local restaurant earned a spot on a national list of the Most Beautiful Restaurants in America—and it’s easy to see why.

When it comes to getting a bite out to eat, Minnesota has a lot of options. According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, restaurants in the Bold North are broken down into the following categories:

  • Bars – Sell mostly alcohol with some limited food options
  • Full Service Restaurants – Where waitstaff come to tables to take orders
  • Limited-Service Restaurants – Where food is ordered at a counter
  • Cafeterias, Grill Buffets, and Buffets – Where food is self-service
  • Snack and Nonalcoholic Beverage Bars – Coffee shops, smoothie, or pretzel shops
  • Breweries – Beer manufacturers
  • Mobile Food Services – Including hot dog stands, fair stalls, and food trucks
  • Caterers – Businesses that provide food for events rather than at their own location

When it comes to finding one of those restaurants, most of us are probably more concerned with a restaurant's menu, its prices, and whether or not you can get a reservation for the time you'd like, right? But there's no denying that how a restaurant looks-- or where it's located-- can definitely impact your decision, too.

Perhaps that's a small reason why People and Open Table teamed up to put together a list of the Most Beautiful Restaurants in the Country. People said, 'These super-stylish stunners deliver unforgettable dining experiences. There are mountaintop chalets with modern rustic touches, glammed-up Art Deco mansions with a view, and mirror-and-glass paneled sky-high stunners.'

Smartscrapers says there are currently around 5,133 restaurants currently operating here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. So, which one of those 5,133 did People include on their list of the Most Beautiful in the Country?

That would be the RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Minneapolis. Here's what People said about the restaurant, located along France Avenue in The Gallery in Edina: 'This ultra-glam indoor-outdoor space is a stunning showcase for RH’s luxury furnishings, with a soaring atrium and manicured grounds.'

If you've never been there, here's how Open Table describes the RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Minneapolis:

The RH Rooftop Restaurant resides on the third floor of RH Minneapolis, a nearly 60,000-square-foot design gallery that blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality. We invite you to enjoy our menu of timeless classics for brunch and dinner, and a selection of wines from esteemed vintners in the United States and Europe.

The RH Minneapolis website notes that the RH Rooftop Restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 10 pm, and has a brunch/lunch menu as well as a separate dinner menu.

Behind our own Minnesota entry in Edina, behind the Cheddar Curtain over in Wisconsin, I.d. in Delafield made the list, while down in Iowa, the Mulberry Street Tavern in Des Moines was also included on People's Most Beautiful Restaurants in the Country list this year.
