MN Man Surprises Wife On Her 84th Birthday! (Get A Tissue!)
Couples being separated is a real thing and it is hard for most of them. This coronavirus has forced us to visit with glass between us, with waves, and signs. And when it's all over, we're going to hug the stuffing out of our loved ones.
84-year-old Jerry Lindell, who'd been recovering from surgery in a Litchfield, MN nursing home, wanted to get out for his wife's 84th birthday. Beverly and Jerry have been married 63 years, and every day she'd visit him in the nursing home. Sitting with him, laughing, telling stories. You know...BEING with her loved one.
Then Covid-19 came along and the nursing home went into lock down and the visits stopped. Sometimes she missed him so much she cried. Totally understandable when you've been married for so long.
For the first time, Beverly Lindell was looking at spending her birthday without the love of her life. Then, their daughter, Loriee Barnes, helped him get sprung from the joint, and the video below happened.
Beverley hesitated briefly, before hugging her husband and sobbing.
“I just thought we weren’t supposed to hug,” she later said. “But I couldn’t wait to grab him, so we hugged each other, and I cried and cried and cried.”
“I wouldn’t let him go,” Beverley said. “He’s mine to keep.”
