Small towns and big cities in Minnesota have at least one thing in common.  Parades. Lots and lots of parades.  I’ve lived here for more than 20 years, and I can’t believe I just this year discovered the best parade in Minnesota. And it’s only 15 minutes away in Stewartville!

If you never been to it, I’m sorry you’ll have to wait a  year. On July 4, 2020, add “Stewartville Fourth of July Parade“ And then make sure you have plenty of sunblock, water, and those chairs with the cool awning and head to Stewartville.

I have never seen sidewalks and neighborhoods so packed with people.  They’re there to watch honest to goodness floats (a bunch of them) and entertainment, and horses, and so much more.

Y-105FM, which began its life in Stewartville (just like Richard Warren Sears, founder of Sears, Roebuck & Company), was proud to return to the tradition, surprising everyone by giving away tickets to Nelly at the Olmsted County Fair LIVE on Facebook DURING the parade!
