This was music to my ears. A new community celebration will be featuring live music, food, and some fun activities for people to participate in. It's been far to long my friends, far too long. I saw a story from KEYC-TV in Mankato about a new celebration coming to Southern Minnesota, and to my surprise, I found out that Elysian will be hosting Elysian Dayz June 18-19. There will be nightly concerts, food, volleyball and cornhole tournaments, and things for the kids to do as well. How awesome is that!

Elysian Dayz according to the event's website, will be a "free community event" and "all ages will be welcomed." The community-wide celebration will be held "in the beautiful City Park at Lake Francis."

The celebration will feature concerts from 32 Below and Rumbleseat as the headliners, on June 18 and 19, also performing during the festival will be Shane Martin, Buffalo Alice, Madd Company, and Category 5. On top of the music that will be happening, the Mankato Area Cornhole association will be hosting a Cornhole Tournament. For more information and to register, visit the Facebook event HERE.

Elysian Dayz also is hoping to get a volleyball tournament coordinated during the two-day festival, the website promises more details about that are coming, you can check back here for more on that.

The festival has been put together with a variety of local and regional community sponsors, including Twin Cities Summer Jam.

Knowing that there will be some live music, and people gathered together to celebrate in about a month is great news to hear.
