St Paul (KROC AM News) - A new poll on Minnesota’s US Senate race shows it’s getting closer with election day just three weeks away.

The KSTP/Survey USA poll found incumbent Tina Smith with a 44% to 37% lead over Republican challenger Jason Lewis. The Democratic Senator had a lead of 47% to 36% in the previous poll a month ago.

The new survey also found 16% of the 929 “likely voters” were still undecided.

The new poll found Lewis leading Smith by double digits in the northeast part of the state while Smith had a double-digit lead in the Twin Cities and also led in southern Minnesota.

The poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.9%.
