Old Dominion Delivers Spectacular Cedar Rapids Show

It's a rare night that the performers on stage and their adoring fans are both at their absolute best. Saturday night in Cedar Rapids was one such night.

Old Dominion brought their "No Bad Vibes Tour" to the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena and it will be a night the band, and everyone in attendance, will remember for a very long time.

The night began with three 20-minute sets from Greylan James, Kassi Ashton, and Frank Ray. Ray turned up the energy in the building in a big way. However, that was just a sample of how Old Dominion's set would amp up the decibels in front of a packed house. I've seen a lot of concerts in that arena, and tonight was at or near the very top of the loudest crowds I've ever heard.

From the minute they hit the stage, Old Dominion put on a near-perfect performance. They delivered song after song of their own hits before taking a seat to play some of the big songs they've written for other artists. It was one of those concerts you didn't dare leave your seat, because you knew you'd miss something great.

Performers are always told to leave 'em wanting more. Saturday night, that's exactly what Old Dominion did. The band last performed in Cedar Rapids on March 31, 2019, and we hope the time before their next visit is much shorter. No matter how quickly they come back, I know another full house will be waiting. There was no one inside the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena tonight that doesn't want to see them again.
