Reserving your favorite campsite at county parks in Olmsted County just got easier!

We're all used to being able to do just about EVERYTHING online these days, right? If I'm looking to make a reservation for pretty much anything, I'll usually head to the Google app on my iPhone and search for the business I'm interested in. If it doesn't redirect me to a specific app for that business (or its website) it feels waaay outdated, doesn't it?

Which is why it's cool to see Olmsted County leap forward and debut this new online reservation system for both Oxbow and Chester Woods Parks. If you check out the following links (Click HERE for Chester Woods Park bookings and click HERE for Oxbow Park bookings) you can get information about when and where specific campsites are available, right here in our own backyard.

Then, you just have to call 507-328-7070 to reserve your site. Eventually, you'll be able to reserve your sites right online as well, but according to a release from Olmsted County, while that part is coming soon, right now you'll need to reserve sites via your phone.

“The new reservation website is much more user-friendly and easier to navigate,” Olmsted County Park Superintendent Karlin Ziegler said in the release. “Visitors will be able to use an interactive map with pictures of each campsite and search calendar dates for specific campsites,” the release noted.
