One Killed, Four Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Wreck Near Northfield
Northfield, MN (KROC AM News) -
The crash happened around 5:30 PM at the Highway 19 interchange.
Killed in the crash was 55-year-old Michael Bendel-Stenzel, the driver of one of the four vehicles involved in the wreck. Two passengers in his vehicle - 53-year-old Ellen Bendel-Stenzel and 20-year-old Linus Bendel-Stenzel of Edina - suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Two Mower County women were also involved in the crash. The State Patrol says 22-year-old Kaytlen Greenlee of Adams was driving one of the other vehicles. She and passenger 25-year-old Megan Koch of Austin were taken to Faribault Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The State Patrol says all four vehicles were southbound on the interstate when the crash occurred.
