Once again, Minnesota placed near the top in yet another national list-- this time when it comes to being one of the top ten Most Fun States in America.

That's the word from the folks over at WalletHub, who have just put together a list of the Most Fun States in America. And, here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we ranked 7th. That's right, only six other states are more FUN than we are. (They'd be the usual suspects of Nevada, Colorado, Washington, New York, Florida and California.)

In case you're curious about just HOW they went about determining how 'fun' each state is, WalletHub said they used looked at two key categories, Entertainment & Recreation and Nightlife. They then compared how each state ranked across different categories like attractions per capita, costs per state, accessibility of national parks as well as other things like casinos per capita.

Overall, Minnesota ranked 7th, WalletHub said, but we were rated as high as 4th when it came to categories involving the performing arts and availability of arts, entertainment and recreation establishments. So, go Minnesota-- we're pretty fun, right?!?

Meanwhile, though, it's a different story for our neighboring states. They're not nearly as fun as Minnesota. In fact, back east, in my home state of Wisconsin, they're rated as the19th Most Fun State, while our neighbors to the south in Iowa were ranked way down at number 35.
