In case you missed it, Curt St. John released a story about an adorable young dachshund/chihuahua mix named Ellie who was stolen right from her backyard in Minneapolis. What's worse is that this happened in broad daylight. The sick video is below.

We're all pet lovers here at Quick Country 96.5, and we were compelled to share our thoughts on the story. We had plenty of questions about this sad situation too.

Firstly, what can we do protect our furry friends from this cruel torture? Is there anything we can do to keep them safe? Or, if someone is that determined, do our efforts even matter?

We also caught up with Molly in Austin who, sadly, shared a story suggesting she believed this same sick thing happened to her dog Sassy, five years ago.
