Finding something fun to do with our kids during the pandemic has been a struggle at my house.  With everything closed or with limited capacity due to COVID-19, I was on the hunt to find something enjoyable that was safe around Rochester.  It was all by chance that I happened to stumble on an outdoor classroom that was full of fun activities at Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo in Byron, Minnesota.

Full disclosure: my kids are a bit older but just because they can wipe their own noses and cut their own food doesn't mean that they don't like to have fun too.  My daughter was home from college and since we've had such amazing weather, we loaded everyone up in the car, including one of the dogs, and went to go explore Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo.

If you've got kids, I highly recommend heading out to let your little ones explore the outdoor classroom that is right next to the parking lot by Zollman Zoo.  It is A-Maz-Ing!  Tunnels, musical instruments, planets that you have to find, and even a teeter-totter made out of a log is there to enjoy.  Probably one of my favorites though is what I call "Little Bean".  I snapped a selfie with it and a few photos to give you a glimpse at the exhibits.  Check those out below...
