Partial Human Remains Found Near Wabasha
Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the discovery of some human remains along the Mississippi River south of Wabasha. A statement released by the Sheriff’s Department indicates a citizen called late Saturday afternoon and reported finding a human leg with a shoe attached while the person was cleaning out a debris pile.
No other remains were located at the site, which is in the town of West Newton about 5 miles south of Wabasha. The remains that were recovered were turned over to the medical examiner’s office for examination. Additional information could be released after the Sheriff’s Department receives a report from the medical examiner.
