It began its life as a Ramada Inn (1974), and, after a LOT of changes, it's back where it started. The Ramada Inn, on South Broadway and 16th Street SW is sporting a new sign showing off the return to Ramadaness.

Most recently the hotel was called Hotel Broadway...

And before that it was,,,well, one source says in addition to being a Ramada and Hotel Broadway, it's been, in no particular order,

  • Comfort Inn
  • Hotel Broadway
  • LaQuinta
  • AmericInn
  • Broadway Inn and Suite
  • Guest House Inn
  • Wyndham Garden

Ramada is part of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, which also owns Howard Johnson, Microtel, Baymont, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Travelodge, AmericInn, Wyndham Garden, Wingate, La Quinta, and many more.

I can't lock this down as fact, but there's talk it's only a Ramada temporarily, soon it'll be re-branded as a Wyndham Garden. If you go only based on exterior design upgrades and color accents (green!), it certainly seems like it's destined for some sort of Wyndham brand again.

Click the post below for some GREAT stories about the hotel and the people that worked there.
