Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police arrested a man on Friday after he allegedly stole several hundred dollars from a teenage girl.

The 16-year-old told officers she was leaving a friend’s home around 10:30 Friday when 24-year-old Kareem Hollins offered her a ride. When they arrived at her residence, the girl said Hollins requested some money for gas and she handed him a $5 bill from a wad of cash she had in her pocket. Hollins is accused of grabbing the entire wad of money out of her hands and then pushing her out of the already open car door before driving away.

Hollins was later located at his residence in southeast Rochester and was taken into custody on suspicion of simple robbery. He gave a statement denying all of the girl’s allegations.
