Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A Rochester man is facing multiple charges for crashing his vehicle into a building and nearly killing himself and his passengers - and forcing a family business to remain closed.

Four counts of criminal vehicular operation have been filed against 32-year-old Justin Kelley and he has been ordered to make his first court appearance in July.

Two passengers were able to get out of the vehicle but police officers arrived to find the unconscious Kelley still inside. The vehicle had caught fire after rupturing a natural gas line and the officers put their lives at risk as they pulled him to safety.

One of the passengers suffered several broken ribs and told the officers Kelley was “driving around 80 mph prior to the accident.”

A blood test showed Kelley had a blood/alcohol concentration of .241.

The business sustained significant inventory losses and building damage and is still closed as repairs are made.

Here's a recent video of the interior from family member Sothea Lam.  He says they don't expect to begin repairs until July or August.
