Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester woman says she was walking down a street when a strange man stopped and offered her $100 for sex. And now the man she identified as the suspect has been charged.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened around 6:30 AM Sept 30 in the 1900 block of North Broadway.

The woman says a van pulled over and stopped and then the passenger side door opened. The man in the van at first said he needed directions and when she came to the door, the woman says he grabbed her by her coat. The woman says the man said he had not had sex in over a month and offered her $100. When she told him to let her go, the man offered her $200. When she took out her phone and said she was calling 911, the man pushed her away and drove off.

The woman gave police a description of the van and its license plate number and an officer located it. The officer brought the woman to the owner’s residence and she identified him as the suspect.

The man - 37-year-old Manuel Sandoval - denied the woman's claims but he was arrested and is now facing a prostitution-related charge.
