Rochester Motorists Seeing Highest Gas Prices In A LONG Time
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester area motorists are seeing something they haven’t seen in several years.
Gas selling for $3 a gallon.
The price for regular hit 3 bucks Tuesday, continuing an upward trend that began late last year.
Motorists were able to buy gas for under $2 a gallon for several months last year due to the pandemic that led to lower oil prices.
GasBuddy Minnesota is showing a statewide average price of $2.87 for a gallon of regular as of Wednesday morning. At this time a year ago, the average was $2.10 a gallon.
The last time GasBuddy reported a statewide average this high was in the fall of 2018. The last time the statewide average was $3 or higher was in the fall of 2014.
