Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - He may not have committed a crime but the Rochester Police Department is investigating the "suspicious behavior" of a man who was acting strangely at a convenience store.

RPD Captain Casey Moilanen says the incident happened at the Holiday convenience store on Assisi Dr. NW Tuesday evening.

Moilanen says the man was in the store a short while and a surveillance camera showed him going into the women’s restroom for about 15 minutes. While he was in there, three women entered and apparently did not see him.

After the man came out of the room, he apparently tried to make contact with a teenage girl who was in the store but it appears he backed off when her father appeared.

He also followed another female outside the store.

Moilanen says it appears the man may have been stalking the two and investigators “want to talk to him” about his “very suspicious behavior. “

Moilanen says the man has been identified but as of noon Thursday, he had not been located.

Moilanen says he wants the public to be aware of the man and anyone who knows him is asked to contact RPD at 328-6800.
