Rochester Public Utilities Board Approves Rate Hikes
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Public Utilities board has approved a bump in the cost of electric and water service, affecting rates, customer charges and other fees.
For residential customers, electric rates will go up by 1.5 percent and water rates will rise by 6-percent, the same as the past two years. Electric rates rose by 3.7-percent this year.
If okayed by the Rochester City Council, the increases will take place the first of the year.
