Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  The Rochester School District’s Highly Gifted Program will expand during the upcoming school year.

It has been offered at Friedell middle school for about 10 years. At its Tuesday meeting, the School Board approved an expansion that will add three sections at Kellogg middle school. The board was told there is growing demand for the program. The program expansion will cost around $300,000 per year.

The board also accepted the resignation of a top member of the district administration. Assistant Superintendent Brenda Lewis is resigning for personal reasons at the end of the current school year.
