Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager was jumped by some other teens while working Thursday and they took his money - and shoes.

RPD Lt. Frank Ohm says the 17-year-old was retrieving shopping carts in the parking lot of the north Walmart store around 5:30 pm when he was attacked and robbed.

Ohm says a group of young males assaulted him. They then took his iPhone, wallet and “the shoes off his feet.” Ohm says they were Nike Air Jordan shoes.

The thieves left in two vehicles and police were contacted.

Officers reviewed surveillance video and were able to get the license plate numbers of the two vehicles. They were later located at a residence and two teenagers were arrested.

One was identified as 18-year-old Isaiah Chhin. The other suspect was not identified because he is 17.

Ohm says the victim’s property was not recovered and the search continues for the other suspects.

Ohm says it appears the victim and suspects know each other.
