How A Rochester, MN Woman Got On Jeopardy!
To get on Jeopardy!, a person must pass the Jeopardy! Anytime Test. The team behind the show says over 100,000 take the test each year, so everyone who passes is placed in a random drawing.
If you're selected in that drawing, you'll be invited to audition for the show. Pass the audition, and you get placed into the contestant pool. From there, you could be called to compete on Jeopardy! at any time within two years of your audition date.
