Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman had to be cut from her car over the weekend after crashing into a bulldozer.

The incident happened around 8:00 PM Saturday in the construction zone on County Rd 9 near the Federal Medical Center.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says the car was driven by 32-year-old Maggie Thornton. Moilanen says she drove around barricades to get onto the road.

He says Thornton was responsive after being extricated from her vehicle and taken to St. Marys with non-life threatening injuries. Moilanen says Thornton admitted she had been drinking and a blood test was taken to determine if she was intoxicated.

Moilanen says it's unknown how fast she was going when she crashed.
