Here's how to participate: March 6 through March 17, Stop by your local McDonald's of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, purchase a delicious Shamrock Shake - where 25 cents will go directly to the six Ronald McDonald House facilities in Minnesota - open up our free mobile app, tap the 'Show Your Shake' button and send us a pic of you and your Shamrock Shake for a chance to win that $250 Arch Card!

What do Ronald McDonald Houses do?

When families have to travel far from home for treatment for their seriously ill or injured children, Ronald McDonald House provides a place for them to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost.

Ronald McDonald Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. When a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

In Rochester, the Ronald McDonald House of Southeastern Minnesota & Western Wisconsin operates two locations with a total of 73 rooms to serve families with children receiving medical care.

The Rochester Ronald McDonald House includes:

• One main Ronald McDonald House with 70 guest rooms
• A Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Mayo Clinic Hospital’s Saint Marys Campus, which opened in February and features three private rooms

In 2025, the Rochester Ronald McDonald House provided support to:

• 1,508 families, a 32 percent increase from the previous year
• 18,423 nights of lodging, also up 32 percent year over year
• 22,325 meals, an 88 percent increase compared to the year before

The organization continues to see growing demand as it supports families traveling to Rochester for critical medical care.
