So Minnesota: Police Department Tells World “They Aren’t MN’s Lake Police”

Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, so it would make sense to some that with all of those bodies of water the state maybe has a 'lake patrol/police' unit, much like the State Patrol keeps our highways safe. A Southern Minnesota police department went out on social media to make sure we all knew that they indeed were NOT that lakes unit. While the name of the police department is Minnesota Lake, its police force is for the community of Minnesota Lake, not the lakes here in Minnesota.

The post goes on to say:

To the newest visitors of this page: Minnesota Lake is a small community in Southern Minnesota. We do not patrol any other towns in Minnesota or other lakes or in any other communities near or far from lakes. If you have concerns about a boat floating away from it's lift, a guy attempting the triple lindy on a jetski or any other issue, before contacting me either via phone or on FB ask yourself this question. "Is the subject of my concern, question or complaint happening in the small town of Minnesota Lake which is approx 2 hours south of the metro"? If the answer is yes, feel free to contact me. If the answer is no, please direct your questions or concerns to the proper City, County or State Agency.

This post is done in a traditional Minnesotan way of going so far as to not insult the person or persons who had been sending messages or phone calls about issues not related to the city itself.
