Sheriff Torgerson joined the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office in 1986.

Captain Tim Parkin said the victim reported being called by a person claiming to be from the Mower County Sheriff’s Office.

A total of 7 men were charged in connection with the investigation.

The victim told investigators he brandished a gun and threatened to shoot her if she reported the assaults.

He has prior convictions for fleeing police, felony drug possession, and malicious punishment of a child.

The 7 week old infant suffered a broken leg.

One involved the Rochester Police Department and the other the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.
