Current City Council member Molly Dennis' bid for a second term in office came to an end after the results of Tuesday's primary election were counted.

Multiple seats for the Rochester City Council and a seat on the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners are on the 2024 Primary Ballot.

The price tags of the three properties range from about $2.7 million to more than $6.3 million.

The subsidy will go towards lowering the prices of just over 200 new houses that are set to be built in northwest Rochester.

The proposal would help spur the construction of about 200 new single-family homes priced at between $368,000 and $479,000.

In Rochester, voters need to narrow the field of candidates for the four seats on the City Council up for election this year.

Mandatory filings with the Secretary of State’s Office indicate voters will be heading to the ballot box in August to determine which two candidates move on to November’s general election for multiple races in the Rochester area.

The two structures would contain a combined 289 units.

Candidates have until the end of the business day to get on the election ballot.

City officials plan to share more information regarding the project next month.
